We are looking for a PHP Developer who is passionate about his profession and will be joining our local Scrum team in Athens working on the implementation of web applications, maintenance and handling of possible trouble arising.
The ideal candidate will write clean, fast, PHP to a high standard, in a timely manner, that will improve quality and scope.
He / She will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.
Requirements
- Proven software development experience in PHP
- Ability to analyze functional demands and produce detailed specifications
- Ability and appetite to constantly research and be acquainted with modern technologies and functions of IT in order to cover the needs of internal and external customers
- Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etc
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
- Contribute in all phases of the development life-cycle
- Timely locating and analyzing issues that may arise regarding the web applications
- Discovering possible solutions, evaluating their functional impact and their implementation
- Implementation of new applications, executing unit test and after approval from the respective departments, the transfer to production
- Overseeing the timetable set for the execution of the projects assigned to the team
- Supervising the design, the recording of technical specifications and the implementation from the members of the team
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Degree in Computer Science or any Science related degree (MSc is desirable)
- Professional Experience minimum of 5 years of related work experience in application development and project management at a company exceeding 50 users
